Who I Am

I'm Ofek Bickel, a freelance developer who thrives on tinkering and experimenting with new ideas. I love diving deep into problems and building tools that push the boundaries of what's possible — from full-featured IDEs to game engines and even new programming languages.

What Drives Me

I believe the best way to understand something is to build it from scratch. Whether it's crafting a Julia IDE with deep language integration, designing a declarative game engine with modern rendering pipelines, or creating a brand new programming language in Rust — I'm drawn to ambitious projects that challenge conventional approaches.

How I Work

I work across the full stack — from low-level systems programming in Rust to interactive frontends in React and TypeScript. I value clean architecture, thoughtful API design, and open-source collaboration. Every project I build is MIT-licensed and open for the community.
